How we are keeping our classroom safe (COVID-19 Information)

Last Update: September 10, 2020

We are implementing enhanced protocols as recommended by the CDC as well as guidelines from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services on opening our childcare services to ensure we are keeping our staff and you our families safe. This is an evolving situation and we will continue to update our policies as information and guidelines become available.

Please carefully review the information provided regarding what is expected at pick up and drop off as well as the extra steps we are taking to keep our community safe:

To reduce your exposure as well as ours we are requiring the following of you when you come to drop off and Pick up your child:

  • Children’s temperature will be checked prior to entering the class room. Children with a temperature of 99 degrees or higher will not be admitted to camp.
  • Only children and staff are allowed in the classroom
  • You will drop off and pick up your child near the entrance and a staff member will walk them to class after temperature has been taken and walk them out at pick up time

Social Distancing in the Classroom: Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services
Guidelines that apply to Flexplay and that we are strictly following:

  •  Child care classes will include the same group each day, and the same caregivers will remain with the same group each day
  •  Keep each group of children in a separate room
  •  Staggering arrival and drop off times and/or have caregivers come outside the facility to pick up the children as they arrive.

Extra precautions we are taking:

  • Drop off pick up station located at least 10 feet from the classroom entrance
  • Sanitizing wipes provided at drop off/pick up stations to sanitize pens between each use and table surface
  • Maintain at least 6 feet between each family at drop off/pick up
  • Staggering arrival times
  • Smaller class size
  • Screen children daily as they come in. IE take temperatures
  • Additional hand washing time built into our schedule
  • Provide hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol in the classrooms as well as check in/out location
  • Disinfect and sanitize the  classroom(furniture, toys etc.) through out the day in addition to the end and beginning of each day
  • Disinfect high touch areas like door nobs, surfaces, table and chairs frequently throughout the day
  • Face masks for children is optional
